These Terms of Service govern the provision of photography services by The Lens of
Maharana. By booking our services, you agree to these terms.
Service Agreement
A booking is confirmed upon:
• Signed photography contract
• Receipt of booking deposit (typically 30-50% of total fee)
• Confirmation of date availability
Payment Terms
• Booking deposit required to secure date
• Deposit is non-refundable if client cancels
• Remaining balance due before or on event/shoot day
• Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, UPI, cash, credit/debit cards
• Late payments may result in delayed image delivery
Cancellation & Rescheduling By Client:
• Cancellations result in forfeiture of booking deposit
• Rescheduling subject to photographer availability
• Rescheduling within 30 days of event may incur fees
By Photographer:
• If photographer unable to fulfill booking due to emergency, deposit fully refunded
• Photographer will assist in finding replacement if possible
• Liability limited to refund of amounts paid
Image Delivery
• Delivery timeline specified in contract (typically 4-8 weeks for weddings, 2-4 weeks
for other projects)
• Images delivered via secure online gallery
• High-resolution files provided for client use
• No physical prints included unless specified in contract
• Lost or corrupted files redelivered at no cost if in our possession
Image Ownership & Usage Rights Copyright:
• Photographer retains copyright to all images
• Client receives license to use images for personal/internal business purposes
Client Usage Rights:
• Print for personal use
• Share on social media with credit to photographer
• Use for business purposes as agreed in contract
Photographer Usage Rights:
• Use images for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes
• Enter images in photography competitions
• Publish in photography publications
Restrictions:
• Client may not sell or license images
• Client may not alter images significantly without permission
• Client must provide credit when sharing images publicly
Model Release
By booking services, client consents to being photographed and grants permission for image
usage as outlined in Section 5, unless opt-out is requested in writing.
Venue & Location
• Client responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for photography at venues
• Photographer not liable for venue restrictions on photography
• Outdoor shoots subject to weather; backup plans discussed in advance
Backup & Equipment
• Photographer uses professional backup equipment
• Images backed up to multiple devices immediately
• Technical equipment failure extremely rare but possible
• Liability limited to refund of amounts paid if images lost due to equipment failure
Editing & Creative Control
• Photographer maintains creative control over final edited images
• Editing style consistent with portfolio
• Specific editing requests accommodated when reasonable
• Color correction, exposure adjustment, and basic retouching included
• Extensive retouching available as additional service
Timeline & Cooperation
• Client provides accurate timeline and information
• Client ensures cooperation from family/team/vendors for photography
• Delays caused by client may affect coverage completeness
• Photographer not responsible for missed shots due to timeline issues outside control
Liability Limitations
Photographer’s liability limited to:
• Refund of amounts paid
• Photographer not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
• Photographer not liable for missed shots due to circumstances beyond reasonable
control
• Professional liability insurance maintained
Force Majeure
Neither party liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control
(natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.). In such cases, deposit may be
transferred to new date or refunded at photographer’s discretion.
Disputes
• Disputes resolved through good-faith negotiation
• If unresolved, governed by laws of Telangana, India
• Jurisdiction: Courts of Hyderabad
Contract Modifications
These terms may be supplemented by specific contract clauses for individual projects.
Specific contracts take precedence over general terms
